Starting August 20 2026, Close will require a verified email to create, update, or delete any account data—including leads, contacts, activities, emails, SMS, and tasks—both in the app and via the API; unverified accounts become read‑only until verification, so users should verify shared or bot logins before the deadline to avoid automation breaks.
